Senior Social Worker - Children in Care

We are seeking experienced and visionary Senior Childrenand Families Social Workers to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about making a lasting impact on the lives of children in care and are driven to lead by example, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership and Coordination: Lead the completion of statutory duties, coordinating and overseeing children’s plans that are tailored to their individual needs. Ensure these plans are aspirational and focus on achieving the best possible outcomes.
- Direct Work and Engagement: Engage directly with children to develop restorative relationships, helping them understand their journeys and supporting them in achieving their permanency plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Contact Service to promote meaningful family time with parents, siblings, and significant others, helping children build strong support networks as they transition towards independent living.
- Permanency Planning: Play a key role in permanency planning, supporting pathways to Adoption and Special Guardianship, and providing development and progression opportunities for the team.

For these roles you must

- Be a qualified Social Worker with significant experience
- You will have expansive knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, including a clear understanding of ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’.
- An ability to build effective relationships with children, young people, and families.
