National Organiser and Union Contact Manager

SWU is seeking to appoint a National Organiser and Union Contact Manager to join our small, dedicated team, to lead campaigns promoting trade union principles like equality, fair pay, and training access. You’ll drive membership recruitment efforts and represent SWU in collaboration with the General Secretary, SWU Executive, SWU TU officials, BASW, and external organisations.

The role allows for remote working, but access is offered as a key holder to any SPACES / REGUS UK work zones if local to an applicant. The position is home-based with some occasional travel required across the UK for employer visits, events, and to the SWU head office in Birmingham.

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to trade union values and social justice, along with possessing excellent organisational and communication skills. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
